Including YANGTSE RIVER Cruise
DAY 01: Depart USA by air to China. Cross the International Date Line.
DAY 02: Upon your arrival in Shanghai, you are met and taken to your hotel.
DAY 03: Sightseeing introduces Shanghai's highlights - the Shanghai Museum with it's remarkable cultural artifacts, the Jade Buddha Temple, the European-styled waterfront Bund and Nanjing Road's popular emporiums.
DAY 04: Morning at leisure in Shanghai. Later fly to Yichang or Wuhan where you board your ship to begin a memorable cruise upstream. *Meals and entertainment are included in the cruise.
DAY 05: Stop at San Dou Ping to see the amazing progress at the Three Gorges Dam Project. Sail through the dramatic Three Gorges Shiplock before continuing through Xiling Gorge, longest of the famed Three Gorges.
DAY 06: Marvel at Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging valley. At Wushan, you have an excursion up the Daning River's renowned Small Gorges. Depart Wushan, passing through dramatic Qutang Gorge, which is walled with steep mossy cliffs.
DAY 07: A shore excursion at Shibaozhai shows its scenic 12-story wooden pagoda. *An alternate shore excursion may visit Fengdu or Wanzhou.
DAY 08: Disembark in Chongqing. Visit the Stillwell Museum where you will see an intriguing collection of World War II memorabilia of the famed Flying Tigers. Fly to Xi'an and check in to the hotel.
DAY 09: A memorable day in this ancient capital includes visits to the life sized terra-cotta army and the Bronze Chariot. Then on to the Shaanxi Provincial Museum which has an impressive collection of stellae.
DAY 10: Fly to China's capital, Beijing and check in to the NEW WORLD COURTYARD Hotel or similar.
DAY 11: Today's sightseeing includes Tian An Men Square and the Forbidden City and after lunch a tour to the ornate Temple of Heaven. Continue on to visit the exquisite Summer Palace, with a boat ride on its Lake Kunming time premitting.
DAY 12: Today you have an excursion out-of-town to the Great Wall, one of the most amazing feats of mankind. Walk atop the ancient ramparts, admiring the view of the Wall snaking across the mountains. After lunch you will be taken to see the Ming Tombs before returning to the hotel. Tonight, celebrate your memorable vacation at a Beijing Duck farewell dinner.
DAY 13: Transfer to the airport for your departure flight to USA
TOUR COST: $2680 per person plus international airfare at applicable rates
